Parliamentary delegation of Russia, headed by V.Matvienko, continues its visit to Belarus

The visit to Belarus of the parliamentary delegation of the Council of the Federation of Russia, headed by Valentina Matvienko, continues. Today, the guests will visit the "Brest Fortress Hero" memorial complex and meet with veterans. The 75th anniversary of the Great Victory will be key theme at the 7th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. Preparations for the large-scale event were discussed the day before in Minsk. In addition, at the Palace of Independence, President Aleksandr Lukashenko handed over the order of Frantsysk Skaryna to the Chairman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko. The speaker was granted such a high award for significant personal contribution to the strengthening of friendly relations and the development of cooperation between Belarus and Russia.
