Belarus-Russia Union State Parliamentary Assembly adopts Union State budget for 2016

The Union State"s budget for 2016 has been adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly in Moscow. The budget is set at about 6.6 billion Russian rubles, while payments of the Union State countries have remained at last year"s level. A significant part of the budget funds will be allocated for financing 35 Union State programmes. Four new programmes are related to the creation of innovative products in the fields of space exploration, microelectronics and nanotechnologies. The development of those programmes promises to bring economic benefits relatively quickly. Meanwhile, the Union State budget will continue financing social projects, including on overcoming Chernobyl disaster consequences.
