Nomination of candidates for deputies of House of Representatives nearing completion in Belarus

Today the nomination of candidates for deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus is nearing completion. According to the CEC, so far 283 people intend to compete for seats in the parliament. However, this figure may change by the evening. Political parties have already nominated 172 potential candidates. Just over a quarter of the nominees announced themselves by collecting signatures, a little less – from labor collectives. Registration of candidates for deputies of the House of Representatives will begin tomorrow and will last until October 17.
