Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine held in Gomel region of Belarus

As participants in the negotiation process noted the day before, the next round will take place in the coming days on the Belarusian-Polish border. The main goal of the negotiations is to stop the escalation of the conflict, cease fire on the territory of Ukraine and arrive at a peaceful solution. The meeting was held behind closed doors. As a result, several statements were made. The participants noted mutual willingness to listen and hear each other. It is hoped that the talks will be the start of a peace process. Belarus is ready and is doing everything possible to find ways to resolve the crisis in Ukraine. Our country continues to fulfill all the obligations that were formulated during the telephone conversations of the President of our country with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine. The meeting lasted 5 hours. It took place in the Gomel region on the banks of the Pripiat near the Ukrainian border.
