Minsk hosts a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State
This year's session of the Supreme State Council is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia Foundation Treaty. The document was signed by Presidents Aleksandr Lukashenko and Boris Yeltsin on 8 December 1999. The main topic of the jubilee session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State is strengthening the defense space of Belarus and Russia. The event is attended by Presidents of Belarus and Russia Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, as well as delegations of the two countries.
It is also planned that the heads of state will make specific decisions on the formation of a common electricity market, tariffs for communication services, as well as consider other topical issues.
