CIS Defence Ministers sign Concept of military cooperation for 2016-2020

The Defence Ministers of the CIS have signed the Concept of military cooperation for the next five years following a meeting of the Defence Ministers in Moscow. The participants discussed the main cooperation areas, such as military and space cooperation, the development of a joint air defence system, as well as joint control of radiation, chemical and biological environment.
According to Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, the main current threat to mankind is international terrorism. In September, the CIS Defence Ministers will adopt a programme providing for a joint fight against terrorism.
