Belarusian Foreign Ministry receives 59 applications for accreditation of foreign media for coverage of parliamentary elections

The number of foreign media who have already applied for accreditation to cover the parliamentary elections, was announced today in the Foreign Ministry.59 applications have been received for accreditation for the period of the election campaign. Among the applicants are representatives of such major media as the Russian news agency TASS, the Chinese broadcasting company CCTV, the Qatari Al-Jazeera, a number of major European media. In addition, more than 270 representatives of foreign media are accredited in Belarus on a regular basis. Applications for accreditation of foreign journalists to cover the parliamentary elections will be accepted by the Foreign Ministry till September, 4.
