Meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Minsk
In order for the EAEU to be a functioning and effective structure, rather than a platform for theoretical discussions, the pace of its development must be intense and lead to a specific overall result. This was stated by the President of Belarus at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Minsk. Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed the need for a rapid pace of development of the Union for the next five years and clear algorithms of actions for concrete results. The Head of State also noted the importance of international cooperation, which is becoming a good tradition of summits. One of the issues of the current meeting concerned the implementation of the main directions of the Union's international activities for 2024. The President of Belarus believes that it is necessary to continue work on the integration of the EAEU with international associations. He called the creation of free trade zones the most important tool.
