Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Belarus and Kazakhstan
The parties discussed the entire spectrum of Belarusian-Kazakh relations: political, trade and economic cooperation, industrial cooperation, and support in the international arena. Foreign Minister of Belarus Sergei Aleinik stressed that the positions of the two countries coincide, including with regard to the basic principles for the development of Eurasian economic integration. Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu, in turn, drew attention to the fact that Belarus is one of the most important trade and economic partners of Kazakhstan. At the end of last year, the volume of mutual trade increased by 18.5%. Industrial cooperation is developing dynamically, joint projects are actively developing in the construction, machine-building, agricultural, and other industries.
