Meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers in Almaty

The unprecedented nature of security challenges and threats in the Eurasian region requires greater unity, said participants of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CSTO countries in Almaty. A statement on the use of outer space for peaceful purposes was agreed upon, as well as statements on expanding cooperation in the field of international information security and the situation in the Middle East and North Africa. The CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers decided on recommendations for the preparation and conduct of exercises with peacekeeping contingents of the CSTO member states. The ministers agreed on a statement in connection with the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.
