M. Ryzhenkov: the West selfishly manipulates the green agenda
Western countries hypocritically manipulate the green agenda to suit their interests. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov on 25 September in New York at a high-level event on combating climate change. The Minister noted that today the consequences of climate change are not as critical for Belarus as for many other countries. At the same time, the Republic shares the general concern about this phenomenon. Belarus intends to make even greater progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs also held bilateral meetings with colleagues from Ghana, Uganda, and Venezuela. During the talks with Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maxim Ryzhenkov discussed further intensification of cooperation in trade, economic, humanitarian, cultural and other spheres.
