Lukashenko and Putin discuss Union State development

A meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Belarus-Russia Union State took place at the Palace of Independence in Minsk. Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin held a meeting in a narrow and enlarged format. The agenda included about ten issues. The Belarusian-Russian relations are at the highest level in all possible directions of interstate cooperation: politics, economy, social sphere and culture. Russia is the main trading partner of Belarus. In 2017, the bilateral trade amounted to $32 billion, up 23.5% compared to 2016.
