L. Yermoshyna: District election commissions receive 396 applications for registration of initiative groups

District election commissions have already received 396 applications for registration of initiative groups to collect signatures in support of the persons proposed for nomination of candidates for the House of Representatives. According to chairman of the Central Election Commission Lidiya Yermoshyna, 256 such groups have been registered. Meanwhile, 32 international observers from the CIS structures have been accredited. They represent three different organizations: the CIS Executive Committee, CIS Parliamentary Assembly and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia. Elections for the lower house of the Belarusian parliament will be held on 11 September.
