Joint sitting of MFA boards of Belarus, Russia

A joint sitting of the MFA boards of Belarus and Russia chaired by Vladimir Makei and Sergey Lavrov was held in Minsk. The Belarusian party expects from Russia a further all-round support of its initiatives on integration deepening within the EAEU and the CIS. The head of the Belarusian ministry of foreign affairs noted that while chairing the Commonwealth in 2021, Belarus will aim at systemic work to strengthen the CIS role and raising its authority in the international arena. Summing up the sitting, it was underlined, that the union member-states will keep on coordinating their efforts for mutual support of initiatives at international sites.
