Heads of CIS Foreign Ministries call for improvement of efficiency of Commonwealth

It is impermissible to lower the status of the Commonwealth. The principled position of Minsk was announced at the meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers by Head of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei. The measures to improve the effectiveness of this integration association will be presented to the heads of the CIS member states in autumn at the summit in Bishkek. Today the Heads of the CIS foreign ministries have made a joint statement and called on the parties to the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh to strictly observe the cessation of hostilities to avoid casualties.
