President discusses election campaign outcome with SCO and CIS observer mission heads

The Belarusian President met with the observer mission heads of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and the Commonwealth of Independent States yesterday to discuss election campaign results.
As stressed by Sergei Lebedev, the CIS mission believes the elections were held in accordance with the Electoral Code and the Constitution of Belarus and in compliance with recognised international standards. Besides, the observers note a high level of conducting the election campaign.
Chinese observers consider the elections in Belarus legitimate, democratic and open, according to Shanghai Cooperation Organisation mission head Dmitry Mezentsev.
