Foreign Minister of Belarus participates in the session of the UN General Assembly
The sanctions policy in relation to the Belarusian potash sector may, inter alia, lead to a decrease in crop yields and an increase in food prices in the world. This was stated by Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei in New York, where the 76th session of the UN General Assembly is taking place. Vladimir Makei took part in the ministerial meeting of the member states of the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter on the topic of countering unilateral coercive measures. The Foreign Minister presented the position of Belarus on the inadmissibility of using such measures as a threat to international security and the well-being of ordinary people. Vladimir Makei will present the position of Minsk at the general political discussion. Bilateral meetings continue on the sidelines of the UN session.
