European Parliament confirms importance of Minsk Agreements

The Minsk Agreements continue to play a crucial role in achieving a sustainable peaceful settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine. This was stated by EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Federica Mogherini at a session in the European Parliament. She noted that the Minsk agreements remain central in achieving a reliable peaceful solution to the conflict in eastern Ukraine, ending the hostilities and suffering of people. According to the official, the EU hopes for the advancement of the Minsk agreements after the signing of the "Steinmeier formula".
