EU suspends sanctions against Belarus

The EU Council press service has announced the suspension of sanctions against Belarus. The restrictions on three companies and 170 Belarusian citizens were introduced "in the context of improving relations between Minsk and Brussels." According to Head of the Information Department and Press Secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Mironchik, Belarus relies on the speedy immediate lifting of all the sanctions and the normalisation of relations with the European Union.
