Elections to Council of the Republic to be held on November 7

Today, Belarusians will begin to receive leaflets with detailed information about the election day and will be able to study the biography of the parliamentary candidates. Currently, 523 candidates compete for the seats in the lower chamber of the parliament. Experts from the OSCE, PACE and the CIS will be observing the elections. And tomorrow, elections to the upper chamber, the Council of the Republic, are held. Its members are elected by deputies of local councils. The CEC will announce the election results on November 12.
