Central Election Commission to continue registering candidates for Council of Republic till 24 August

Belarus" Central Election Commission is scheduled to hold a meeting on preparations for the elections to the National Assembly today.
Preparations for the elections toBelarus" National Assembly will be discussed today at the Central Election Commission, one of the main topics being the registration of candidates for the Council of the Republic. The deadline for accepting documents from potential senators is due to expire tomorrow. The results of the elections to the upper house of the Belarusian parliament are to be summed up no later than 30 September.
Among other topics to be discussed today will be creating a barrier-free environment for the voting process and considering complaints.
