Cooperation between Belarus and China
Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Xie Xiaoyong. The parties discussed topical issues of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation, implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level, as well as preparation of bilateral events scheduled for the near future. Beijing is currently hosting the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China, which will be very important for the future of the country. As the Chinese economy grows, so will interest in Belarusian products shipped to China. Minsk and Beijing have been developing close cooperation for 30 years. The PRC is Belarus's main strategic partner in the Asian region. More than a hundred Belarusian manufacturers are accredited there. Our country supplies potash fertilizers, meat and dairy products, wood pulp to China.
