Belarusian Foreign Minister taking part in CIS Council of Ministers meeting in Bishkek

The event is taking place ahead of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State. The summit will also be held in Bishkek, as Kyrgyzstan currently holds the chairmanship of the Commonwealth. The CIS Secretary General said at the beginning of the meeting that the draft agenda for the event included 20 issues. Sergei Lebedev also noted that despite some problematic issues in the Commonwealth, there is much more convergence of positions. The Commonwealth is needed today. The situation in the world is tense, and interaction within the framework of the organization helps to overcome many difficulties including economic ones, to counteract unjustified sanctions.
