Belarus strengthens inter-parliamentary ties with Latin America and the Caribbean
Today, humanity is closer than ever to the dangerous line of war on a planetary scale, and parliamentarians must do everything possible to ward off the threat from their peoples. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic Sergei Khomenko during his speech at the PARLATINO Assembly in Panama. According to him, Belarus cherishes the good and friendly relations it has developed with many countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. This year the organisation is celebrating its 60th anniversary. A lot has been done over these years. PARLATINO actively promotes sustainable development of the states of the region, integration for prosperous economies and comfortable living conditions for the peoples, strengthening peace and security.
