Belarus considers Oman as promising trade and investment partner. On the eve of the first in the history of bilateral relations joint business forum, which will take place tomorrow, a very specific discussion took place on intensification of trade and economic cooperation. Alexander Lukashenko emphasizes that Belarus considers Oman a promising trade and investment partner in the Gulf region and is ready to develop relations in all directions. The official visit of President of Belarus to Oman in April 2007 marked the beginning of a constructive dialogue between the two countries. Bilateral contacts have intensified within the last two years.The creation of the Eurasian Economic Union contributed to this as well. Today, the Gulf countries, including Oman, are considered potential major investors in Belarus. Their spheres of interest include industry, real estate, trade and high technology.
