Belarus receives observer status in Association of Caribbean States

This organization was established in 1995 and is engaged in strengthening the role of business in the political and economic negotiations in the region. Today, the Association includes 25 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, includingCuba,Colombia,Mexico,Venezuela. The observers of the organization are 20 countries, includingRussiaandUkraine. Last yearBelarusreceived the observer status in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures inAsia.
