09.09.2025
The national anthem of Belarus was played in France during a ceremony dedicated to the liberation of the city of Thil from German fascist invaders. At the invitation of the French side, the Chargé d'Affaires of Belarus in France, Kirill Grushevsky, took part in the commemorative events at the Crypt of the Victims of the Concentration Camp. The diplomat laid flowers at the entrance to the mine where the prisoners of war worked. Hundreds of Soviet women were among the prisoners of the concentration camp. Many died under the rubble, but those who survived managed to escape and create a unique female partisan unit "Rodina", the only one in the French Resistance.
