Belarus' initiatives at UN General Assembly session
14.06.2024
Minsk suggests viewing illegal sanctions as an act of aggression, since they cause enormous damage to the state against which they are applied. Such initiatives were voiced in the speech of the Permanent Representative to the UN, Valentin Rybakov. Belarus calls to immediately stop waging sanctions wars: after all, their main victims are ordinary people who are completely uninvolved in interstate squabbles. The matter on "Elimination of unilateral extraterritorial coercive economic measures used as an instrument of political and economic coercion" is on the agenda of the current 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
