Belarus has officially become a partner of the BRICS, reported the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. Earlier, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed a letter to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin about the country's readiness to join BRICS as a partner. On Monday, during a personal meeting, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Maxim Ryzhenkov handed this document to Ambassador of Russia in Belarus Boris Gryzlov. Russia is chairing the organization this year.
