Belarus calls for united efforts of parliaments to build a fair global security
This was stated by Chairperson of the Council of the Republic N. Kochanova in Baku at the plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly. The organization was established almost 20 years ago and unites dozens of parliaments. Belarus has long-standing good relations with the member states of the Assembly, is an adherent of unifying creative ideas of building a just world order and multipolar world, strengthening inter-parliamentary exchange of experience. The Belarusian State is also aimed at promoting these ideas through collective efforts. In a multilateral format, Belarus participates in the work of various international organizations. In 2024, it became a full member of the SCO and a partner country of the BRICS. Membership in these structures contributes to ensuring joint security, building economic relations, mutual enrichment of cultural and humanitarian ties of our peoples. And today Belarus intends to become an observer in the Asian Parliamentary Assembly. We are developing relations with most countries of the world. Asia, the Middle East, Africa are no longer distant territories for us. Today, on the margins of the Assembly there is also a rich marathon of bilateral meetings.
