Belarus and Slovakia intensify cooperation
Belarusian-Slovak cooperation, the development of inter-parliamentary dialogue and preparations for the summer session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly was discussed today in Minsk by the chairman of the House of Representatives of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko and Slovak Ambassador to Belarus Jozef Migas. Last year the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to more than $ 160 million. There are prospects for its increase, in particular in the fields of pharmaceuticals, nuclear energy, production of tires, wood and gas sector. Cooperation in the areas of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and the Council of Europe was also discussed at the meeting. In July Minsk will host the 26th annual session of the Parliamentary Assembly. Belarus presents its potential as a mistress of the PA at the winter session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly taking place these days in Vienna.
