Belarus and Laos: new horizons of cooperation
Belarus expects to strengthen ties with the countries of Southeast Asia. And this is mutual. This is the outcome of the official visit of our parliamentary delegation to Laos. The Asian republic has become a venue for the ASEAN General Assembly, where Belarus has the status of an observer. This gives Belarus an opportunity to participate in the parliamentary dialogue, promote its position and interests in the region and on the bilateral basis. The delegation held a number of meetings in the parliament and the government of Laos. The parties agreed to identify points of growth in order to come up with concrete projects. Belarus is ready to supply machinery, agricultural products, share technologies. The Belarusian side invited its colleagues to visit the country. It was proposed to organise a Belarus-Laos forum to intensify business contacts.
