Belarus and Finland develop parliamentary cooperation

Belarus and Finland are interested in building up parliamentary cooperation. This was stated by the Chairman of the Council of the Republic at a meeting with the delegation of the Parliament of the Scandinavian country. As the guests noted, the relations between the two countries are built on a good pragmatic basis. At the talks with Sergei Rakhmanov, chairman of the Standing Committee on International Affairs and National Security, it was stated that Minsk and Helsinki are interested in reducing tensions between the West and the East. The parties discussed the possibility of initiating a discussion in the OSCE on the need to launch a new Helsinki process.
