Belarus and Cuba are interested in strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation
Belarus and Cuba are stepping up interaction, including by strengthening parliamentary dialog. The House of Representatives held talks with Cuban partners. The focus was on the promotion of the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries and governments. Cuba is Belarus' most important ally in the Western Hemisphere. The parties support each other in the international arena as well. In 2023, they managed to double the trade turnover, and this year's figures are also expected to have a significant plus. The policy is based on a strong economy. Cuba knows Belarusian products and machinery very well. Cooperation in the medical sphere is of great interest. Our country is interested in deepening the localization of drug production and technology transfer. A separate position is the development of tourism.
