All-weather partnership discussed in the Council of the Republic

Cooperation between Belarus and China is successful in all areas. This was stated by Chairman of the Permanent Commission on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic Sergei Aleinik on 24 March at a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan. More than 50 provinces and cities of China have twinning relations with Belarusian oblasts. Mutual visits are organized annually. The first Belarusian-Chinese Forum of Regions will be held in June. In addition, the field of education and science is an important area. Joint projects on training and internship of specialists, as well as exchange of experience in the teaching environment are being implemented. China is Belarus' second trading partner. Over the past 6 years, the trade turnover has almost doubled.
