Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin will meet in Minsk
The talks between the leaders of Belarus and Russia are scheduled for December 19 in Minsk. The program of negotiations is rich. A wide-ranging conversation is planned with the participation of not only the heads of state, but also members of the governments of the two countries. In this format, the parties will discuss in detail the entire range of the most pressing issues of Belarusian-Russian integration. Then the presidents will continue negotiations in a one-on-one format. During the negotiation day, the heads of state will discuss in detail the implementation of the previously adopted union programs. First of all, they will talk about issues of trade and economic cooperation, joint cooperation projects with an emphasis on import substitution. An important topic on the negotiating agenda will be cooperation in the energy sector. The presidents will also prioritize security issues, exchange views on the situation in the region and the world, and discuss joint measures to respond to emerging challenges.
