Today, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko had a telephone conversation with President of Russia Vladimir Putin. The heads of state exchanged views on the situation in the region and the prospects for its development. Economic issues and the implementation of economic and security agreements reached in Minsk during the recent official visit of the Russian leader were also discussed. During the conversation, the heads of state discussed issues of defense and security. Another topic on the agenda is joint work and areas of cooperation abroad. The presidents also agreed on a schedule for further contacts. Alexander Lukashenko also congratulated Vladimir Putin on Russia Day.
