Transit of railroad cargo from China through Belarus on the rise

According to one of the largest Russian freight operators, last year’s growth amounted to 58%. Earlier, Belarusian Railroads also reported that the Chinese direction remains one of the priorities in container transportation. Russian ports and land routes are actively used for this purpose. Last year, Belarusian companies sent more than 1.5 thousand container trains to China. This is 50% more than in 2022. And in general, in 2023 the volume of export cargo transportation in containers increased by more than 60% compared to 2022.
