Towards a union
Belarus considers using Astrakhan Region's ports to increase transshipment of its cargo through the Caspian Sea and seriously intends to use the Caspian corridor in the interests of its exporting enterprises. This was announced by Prime Minister R. Golovchenko at a meeting with Governor of Astrakhan Region I. Babushkin. Today we are ready to develop cooperation in all directions, and special attention is paid to bilateral trade turnover. This year, it has increased 2.5 times and reached nearly 50 million dollars. The partners are ready to increase deliveries to each other's market. Also, special attention will be paid to logistics. A package of documents has been signed following the first day of talks. Among them are deliveries of Belarusian fodder, construction machinery and woodworking products, as well as trucks and tractors. An MTZ trade and service centre opens in Astrakhan.
