Sowing season 2023

The sowing of early spring crops has been completed in Belarus. This applies to cereals and leguminous crops, as well as sugar beets. This was stated by Minister of Agriculture and Food Igor Brylo. There are just a few days left to finish sowing of long-fibered flax and spring rape. As for other crops, the date of final sowing has been determined and agreed with the head of state as May 20. The instruction concerns sowing of vegetables, corn for grain and silage, buckwheat and millet and planting of potatoes. About one thousand hectares more was allocated for corn this year. Basically it will be used for silage to provide livestock with grassy feeds.
