South Sudan delegation visits MTZ
Minsk Tractor Works MTZ is ready to fully meet the needs of South Sudan's agricultural sector. This matter was discussed today during the visit of the delegation from this South African country to MTZ. The guests arrived to look at some new Belarus-made products. Last time a large batch of machinery — about 800 tractors — was delivered to South Sudan almost 10 years ago. The contract was worth $10 million. Now the parties intend to resume the cooperation. MTZ plans to export tractors and agricultural equipment for planting vegetables and fruits, plus special machinery. In addition, South Sudan is interested in buying components such as plows, trailers and attachments. MTZ supplies products to almost 30 countries of the African continent. In January Belarusian tractors were shipped to Egypt and Sudan. Two months ago, 150 machines were exported to Togo. In the first half of the year supplies of machinery are planned to be resumed to Algeria, Morocco and South Africa.
