Small and medium-sized entrepreneurship is developing in Belarus

According to the Ministry of Economy, every third able-bodied Belarusian in 2023 was employed in small and medium-sized entrepreneurship. Last year, almost 370.000 business entities were registered in the country. Most of them are registered in the capital, next are Minsk and Brest regions. Most of them work in the service sector. As for the average monthly salary, it amounted to almost Br2.000. The Small and medium-sized business sector forms more than a quarter of GDP, more than a third of investments and tax revenues and almost half of exports of goods – about 46%.
