Road reconstruction continues

The stretch of R-53 highway from Smolevichi to Zhodino has become a big construction site. Along the whole distance between the two towns – and this is fourteen and a half kilometres of motorway – there is now a lot of machinery and workers. The road will have concrete surface, four lanes and high-speed capacity. The route from the capital via the satellite town to the industrial centres of Zhodino and Borisov is one of the most popular. Completion is scheduled for 2024. Reconstruction of the road from Zhodino to Borisov and modernisation of the Minsk-Mikashevichi section of the road from Soligorsk to Starobin will continue.
