Retail turnover in Belarus increased by 11.8%

Belarus has seen a steady growth in the services sector, the share of which totalled 48.8% for ten months. This is the best indicator over the last three years. The high consumer activity of the population remains high in trade. Thus, from January to September 2024, retail turnover was 111.8%. This is higher than of other main EAEU partners — Russia (106.8%) and Kazakhstan (107.3%). Azerbaijan, Armenia and Uzbekistan are also behind in terms of figures. The share of non-food products is also increasing in Belarus. In January-October 2024, it accounted for more than half of the retail turnover.
