Prospects for cooperation with Tatarstan
Increasing imports and exports, economic cooperation, and mutual visits. A meeting was held in Minsk between the governor of the Central region and the head of the State Council of Tatarstan. The Minsk region has been interacting with this republic for several years now. In 2019, ties were strengthened by signing a cooperation agreement. Since then, trade turnover has been increased. Thus, in January-November 2023, it amounted to more than $17 million. Mutual work became closer after the introduction of sanctions. New perspectives also appeared. Now the regions have many joint projects with an emphasis on import substitution and industry. As part of the two-day visit of the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan to Belarus, business meetings and visits to the largest enterprises of the Minsk region are planned.
