Pensions to increase in Belarus on September 1

Labor pensions will be raised in Belarus from the beginning of autumn. The increase will amount to an average of 5%. The corresponding decree was signed by the President. In September, BYN 1 billion 700 million will be allocated for their payments, which is BYN 72 million more. Consequently, in Belarus the average size of retirement pension for non-working pensioners will amount to BYN 737. The Ministry of Labor notes that the size of the increase will depend on the length of service and the amount of earnings, as well as the established supplements to the basic pension. This is the second increase in labor pensions this year. In total, more than 2 million 300 thousand people receive labor pensions in Belarus.
