New varieties of crops

Belarusian breeders have developed 20 new high-yielding varieties of agricultural crops. All plants have passed state tests and can be planted in Belarusian fields. The main bet is on early ripening crops. Winter barley is still in the lead. Scientists managed to accelerate its maturation by another week. The Asima wheat variety also has good characteristics. The main advantage of the new crops is their resistance to climate change. Also, another 32 varieties are at the testing stage, which will take 3 years. The Scientific and Production Center for Agriculture of the Academy of Sciences has concluded about 25 agreements with Russian scientists for joint breeding developments.
