Minsk Tractor Works MTZ is ready to start shipments of machinery to Zimbabwe. A delegation from Zimbabwe led by Minister of State for Bulawayo Province Judith Mkwanda paid a visit to MTZ. The foreign delegation was shown an exhibition of tractors, a tractor assembly shop and a museum. According to the enterprise, in April 2024 MTZ took part in the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair 2024 in Bulawayo.
In 2023, a memorandum of strategic partnership was signed during the visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to Zimbabwe in 2023 to promote Belarus machinery in the Zimbabwean market. According to the document, MTZ is set to supply more than 3,500 tractors to Zimbabwe in the coming years.
