Minsk proposed to create an energy saving fund within the SCO framework

Belarus hopes to build cooperation with the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in the energy sector. Minsk proposed to set up an energy saving fund within the framework of the organisation, similar to the World Bank. This will make it possible to attract resources for the modernisation of social infrastructure. Belarus is interested in thermal modernisation of schools, hospitals and kindergartens across the country. The amount of financing is about $60 mln. In turn, Minsk proposes to implement a number of projects in the territory of the SCO member states.
