Minsk greenhouse plant to double vegetable production

Thanks to large-scale modernization, Minsk greenhouse plant doubled the production of cucumbers up to 600 tonnes per month. The area for growing tomatoes, eggplants and peppers was also expanded. Chairman of Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev assessed the range and production capacity of the enterprise. The greenhouse plant is preparing for the main holiday of spring. Special attention is paid to the cultivation of tulips. By 8 March, almost 200.000 of exquisite flowers will be on sale. Among the novelties of the season — roses of Dutch selection. For landscaping and planting of city streets and avenues the enterprise grows flower seedlings. In total there are more than 130 varieties of annual plants.
